Storyer is a platform for posting literary tracks (litracks) — audio files with recorded literary (fiction or non-fiction) works. Only original (bard) songs are allowed from the musical genres.
The format of the files posted is mp3. The maximum size of a single file that can be uploaded is 96 MB. It is recommended to upload audiobooks in chapters (parts).
CREATING LITRACKS
You have a story that you want to post on Storyer, but you don't have an audio version of it. What should you do?
Method 1
Find the voice recorder on your mobile phone, read the story yourself or ask someone close to you with a pleasant voice to read it. At the very beginning of the track, be sure to state: the author's full name, the title of the work, the genre, and the name of the reader. For example: "Ivan Petrov. Morning by the Sea. Short story. Read by the author." You can edit the resulting track (for example, trim the parts where you messed up and had to start reading the fragment again) in audio editors, free versions of which are available on Google Play and the App Store.
You can bring the sound quality of the track up to studio level by running it through the free service from Adobe Enhance Speech – https://podcast.adobe.com/en/enhance
Method 2
To create a literary track, you can use one of the speech synthesizers. For example, ElevenLabs or Yandex Speechkit. Modern text-to-speech systems, especially those based on AI, are capable of reading text "qualitatively," especially journalism. As a rule, such systems have restrictions on free use. For example, ElevenLabs reads 1,000 characters no more than ten times, changing the timbre each time (this rule may change), while Yandex Speechkit does not limit the number of readings, but reads no more than 500 characters at a time. The resulting set of audio fragments of your story (it is recommended to perform all these operations on a computer) can be "stitched" together in the free audio editor Audacity.
Method 3
Order an audio version of your literary work from ATMA Publisher. You will be offered two options: neural networks and voice-over narration (or "voice-over," as professionals call it). ATMA Publisher's address is https://atma.press/publisher.
So, you have an audio track with a literary work. In Storyer terminology, it is called LITRACK. The next steps are as follows:
Create a cover. It can be your photo or an image with captions, specially created in a neural network. The format does not matter. Storyer will ultimately turn it into a square (see your colleagues' publications).
Upload the resulting litrek to Storyer, add a cover and description. In the "Text" section, insert (if desired) the text of the narrated work, enter a tag (usually the author's full name) and publish.
IMPORTANT. In order for your newly published work to appear in other users' feeds, make friends: follow each other. There are no restrictions on the number of subscriptions in Stiryer.
